Moventis renews operations contract in Pays de Montbéliard until 2029
8 de January de 2024
After seven years at the helm of mobility services in the Pays de Montbéliard region, Moventis has once again been appointed as the operator to manage its mobility network until 2029.

Renewal of this contract for Moventis was confirmed in December by the local authorities of Pays de Montbéliard Agglomération. It should be noted that one of the decisive factors in favour of renewing the contract with Moventis was the highly positive assessment of management quality over the course of those first seven years.

The new contract is a huge opportunity for Moventis to continue consolidating the évolitY network in this region of France. Gregory Carmona, General Manager of Moventis Pays de Montbéliard, believes that the challenges for this new period will include “the ongoing digitalisation of the company, modernising the services offered to passengers and further commitments to the local community”.

A fine example of multi-modal management

Besides being one of its main operations outside of Spain, Moventis has transformed Pays de Montbéliard into a success story thanks to the multi-modal public mobility model it has developed in this conurbation of more than 70 medium-sized municipalities. To be precise, Moventis offers and centralises all its mobility services (urban, school, micro-mobility, PRM services, on-demand services and car-pooling) through unified and efficient management that clearly facilitates administrative control. Besides being engaged in day-to-day operations, Moventis also proposes and provides knowledge on the organisation and management of the services to the public manager, thereby enabling easier and more controlled decision-making.

France, a strategic country

France has become an important country for Moventia and, in particular, for Moventis in recent years. Besides Montbéliard, Moventis was awarded a contract in 2022 to manage the urban and school bus service in the Pays de Grasse agglomeration community in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France. Furthermore, the company offers micro-mobility services (public bicycles) in such major cities as Paris, Marseille and Clermont-Ferrand.
