Shotl comes to Munich Airport

Shotl, the on-demand mobility platform set up in 2017 in which Moventis is a partner, is now fully operational at Munich Airport in Germany. Since October, people working at the airport have been able to move between the various installations using the Shotl service.

A total of three Shotl vehicles operate from first thing in the morning until last thing at night Monday to Friday. So far, the service has been a complete success and highly popular among airport employees. In only two months (October and November), the number of trips per week has risen from 169 to 498.

This service improves sustainability, reduces dependency on cars and encourages companionship and a positive atmosphere among workers.

Third Shotl in Sant Cugat

The third on-demand bus in the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès started operating last month. The service is being offered in the Can Trabal district, covering an area of 1.6 km2 with a total of 24 stops. In only six weeks, the number of passengers has risen 12%. The service is provided via a 16-seater bus with space adapted for wheelchair users.

Moventis successfully launches the transport on-demand service in Sant Cugat

Since last Tuesday 17th December Sant Cugat has been able to rely on Shotl, an on-demand transport service, as a reinforcement to the L10 bus line between Can Trabal, Buscarons and Pg. Del Caqui. The Shotl service is available from 7:00 21:00 on weekdays, while line L10 only runs from 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 and 9:00.

This new on-demand service can be requested via the Shotl app or through the phone number 672 040 375. Each request must be carried out between 10 and 20 minutes before the desired departure time. When requesting the service, details such as desired pick-up point (within the same route of the line), number of passengers and desired destination should be provided. Through the app it will also be possible to track the vehicle once the request has been made.

Moventis, as the urban and interurban transport management company of Sant Cugat, is very satisfied with the results and the reception of this new service, an initiative in which it is participating and promoting.

Historic Moventis buses take part in film about the Olympic Games

This week, the historic Moventis buses became luxury supporting actors in the film being made in Barcelona about the period in history surrounding the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games entitled “Amics per sempre” [Friends Forever].

The three buses got dressed up for the occasion, as did the drivers who drove them to the set, who were dressed in period clothing as extras. The filming was long and intense but the result will undoubtedly be worthy of the highest praise. We would like to thank the drivers who volunteered to take part in this adventure and all members of the team at the Vallès de Automoción garage and Transportes Ciutat Condal who look after our historic buses so well. We will be looking out for the release of this film to see them in action!
