Oxfam Intermón Sant Cugat will hold a charity concert on 18 January at 20:00 to celebrate its 25 years in Sant Cugat del Vallès.

The event, which will take place at the Teatre Auditori in Sant Cugat (Avenida del Pla del Vinyet, 48) under the slogan “Portem aigua, donem vida” (Delivering water, giving life), is a call for solidarity with those people who lack access to such a basic resource as water.

The money raised will help thousands of people gain access to clean water. “For example: in the Gaza Strip, where the shortage of water is, like so many other things, an urgent problem that is impossible to ignore; in the Horn of Africa, where the drought represents a water and climate crisis affecting more than 23 million people; or in Zambia, where water pollution has led to the worst cholera outbreak of the last ten years”, explains the non-profit organisation.

The event, which will include a performance by Barcelona Guitar Trio, will be backed by Moventia and other local businesses wanting to take part in the cause as partner companies.
