Moventia defends Artificial Intelligence as a key tool for improving the user experience
23 October 2024
The company’s Corporate Head of Systems and Technology explained how AI is being integrated at the company in a talk promoted by the financial entity.

On 10 October, Esteban de Kelety, Corporate Head of Systems and Technology at Moventia, took part in an event entitled “The Artificial Intelligence Revolution: driving the future of business” and organised by Banco Sabadell. At the event, Esteban de Kelety highlighted how the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is enabling Moventis – the company’s collective mobility division – to streamline management of its fleet and improve customer relations, thereby reaffirming its commitment to innovation in the transport sector.

In his talk, Esteban de Kelety explained that AI has become a key factor in enabling Moventis to more accurately predict occupancy levels on its buses. This allows the company to adapt its resources in real time, optimising the service so it can be more punctual and efficient. Thanks to this technology, Moventis is not only better adapting itself to passenger needs but also reducing wait times and improving the user experience.

Another important issue highlighted by Esteban de Kelety is the complementary role played by AI in the everyday work done by the human team at Moventis. “AI is not going to steal anyone’s job”, he said. “Quite the opposite, it will complement and enhance what we do; helping us to be more accurate and efficient in our daily tasks”, he added. According to Esteban de Kelety, AI is designed to make the work done by employees easier, letting them focus on more strategic value-added tasks, thereby improving both the quality of service and the working environment.

In line with its vision of the future, Moventis will maintain its commitment to integrating such advanced technologies as AI in order to offer increasingly more efficient and customer-focused mobility solutions. This commitment underpins the company’s position as a leader in the digital transformation of public transport.
