Monlau and Moventia join forces to train and bring young people into the labour market
12 March 2025
The training school is a strong benchmark in the automotive sector.

In order to strengthen ties between Moventia and the training centres and institutions in the region, the company signed a partnership agreement with Monlau on 10 March.

The agreement was signed between Silvia Martí, Vice-President of Corporate Affairs and Internal Communication of Moventia, and Iban Ventura, Managing Director of Monlau Group. They were accompanied by Dani Piera, Head of Service of Movento, and Jaume Safont, Head of Garages of Moventis. The signing ceremony was also attended by Bárbara Wright and Miriam Rodríguez, recruitment officers at Moventia; Carlos Salazar, Director of the Automotive Division of Monlau; and Montse Barrera, Director of External Relations of Monlau.

This relationship with the training school specialised in providing specific courses focused on automotive professions, as well as the IT and business and marketing professions, means that, among other things, jobs at the mobility company can be given to young people with qualifications in automotive, electromechanics and bodywork trades, as well as students on other courses, such as administration and finance, trade and marketing or sales and commercial space management.

Over the course of this relationship, the various divisions of Moventia have given jobs to numerous garage professionals who studied at the training school in Barcelona, such as mechanics, bodywork specialists, after-sales advisors, experts, guarantee admin staff and sales professionals. This is because Moventia believes that a commitment to professional training not only seeks to fill vacancies at the company but to also integrate this training into day-to-day operations in every area and every department at the company.

As part of the efforts to consolidate that partnership, during which representatives from Moventia visited the training school, the two companies agreed to continue working together to support professional training so as to foster education and bring young people into the labour market. This was reflected in an agreement to increase the number of visits by students to Moventia premises. Until now, experts from the company had been visiting Monlau training centres to offer their knowledge and insight to young people. However, from now on, the students will travel to Moventia premises to see the company and what it does first-hand.

This support for training is one of the main pillars of the corporate responsibility strategy in place at Moventia. The company collaborates with various education centres across Catalonia that share the same outlook on training and labour market integration.
