4 October 2024
The company is partnering with the Cruyff Foundation to increase the sports on offer to children with functional diversity

On 3 October, Moventia once again demonstrated its support for the Cruyff Foundation by taking part in the 18th Open Day.

In line with the corporate purpose to contribute to the tasks of executing, coordinating, monitoring and communicating the adapted sport projects organised by the foundation for children and youngsters with functional diversity, as well as to the various social transformation projects that the foundation runs throughout the region, the company supported the charity to help celebrate its quintessential sports day. The event took place at the Mar Bella Municipal Sports Centre, CEM Marbella, on Avenida del Litoral in Barcelona.

Enjoyed by more than 900 children and youngsters with and without functional diversity, the Open Day is aimed at providing a fun-filled day of sport and entertainment, allowing many of them to discover new sports that better suit their condition. The event also included a welcome breakfast, various sports activities and a ceremony at which medals were handed out to the kids. During the course of the day, Moventia showcased the vehicles that Movento – its individual mobility division – loaned to the organisation in 2023 under the partnership agreement it signed with the foundation: Renault Arkana, Austral and Space, belonging to Movento Auser, Movento’s Renault and Dacia dealership.

Susila Cruyff, President of the Cruyff Foundation; Pati Roura, Director of the Cruyff Foundation; Danny Cruyff, Johan Cruyff’s wife; Chantal Cruyff, Johan Cruyff’s daughter; Jordi Cruyff, Johan Cruyff’s son; Roger Garcia Junyent, Cruyff Foundation ambassador; and Niels Vink, Cruyff Foundation ambassador, represented the organisation and hosted the Open Day. Furthermore, the following business leaders – including Sílvia Martí, Corporate Vice-President of Moventia – attended the event as patrons of the foundation: Jaume Roures, Joan Laporta, Ramón Agenjo, Joan Francesc Pont and Xavier Arbós.

Moventia allocates a portion of its profits every year to various social projects aimed at supporting social development. In that regard, maintaining relations with the Johan Cruyff Foundation and jointly engaging in social transformation projects that bring sport to children with special needs is an initiative that perfectly reflects the corporate purpose and the social values upheld by the company: respect, equality, tolerance and inclusion.
