Moventia presents latest edition of We Love Learning

A new edition of We Love Learning was organised on 22 and 23 March, an event by Netex Learning on Training and Technology at which ideas, experience and knowledge from authorities on the topic were presented. The event focused on such issues as the future of work, the latest learning trends and challenges in the post-COVID world of remote working, the use of micro-learning and agile learning to improve the learning experience in general, and how marketing is essential for e-learning initiatives.

Our Head of Internal Development and Communication, Susanna Vidal, attended the event to share a success story about the virtualisation process that our Training Department is currently undertaking as we continue adapting to changes in our environment.

Susanna said that “changes in the environment have forced us to adapt. New technologies, the way we communicate and the arrival of new generations with new values have also forced us to change how training is provided at companies if we want it to have an impact and be attractive”

Moventia is proud to take part in these conferences organised by Netex Learning, which have brought us closer to the latest trends in the e-learning sector and at which we have learned about experiences at other organisations.

Josep Maria Martí takes part in session on Sustainable Mobility by Chamber of Commerce of Sabadell

Josep Maria Martí, the CEO of Moventia and Executive Vice-President of Moventis, took part in a session on Sustainable Mobility at companies organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Sabadell, an event that was also attended by Sergi Jiménez, Sales Manager at Circontrol.

Various topics were discussed at the conference: mobility and improving how we look after the environment; mobility in the Metropolitan Region; current regulations; and the latest trends emerging in the various mobility sectors.

Based on an analysis of the current mobility situation in the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona, a focus was placed on the average number of journeys made by the population standing at 21.83 per person per week. Two out of every three inter-municipal journeys are made using a private vehicle. One million journeys per day to enter and leave Barcelona. That’s why we need to boost public transport while also decarbonising private vehicles at a feasible and viable pace. In Catalonia, there are 5.4 million private vehicles, of which 3.5 million are cars, 889 million are motorcycles, 750,000 are lorries and 172,000 are buses, among others.

Bus transportation is third on the list of chosen travel methods among the public, with a total of 172,003 movements throughout Catalonia and behind cars, motorcycles and lorries and vans, it being the most widespread form of public transport. Josep María also mentioned the letter from British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, which he started by saying “I love buses”.

In terms of sustainability, a number of issues were discussed with direct links to regulations and the environment, as well as the transition towards clean energy with the disappearance of diesel and petrol, and the presentation of various active recovery, transformation and resilience plans promoted by the Government of Spain and the Regional Government of Catalonia, among others.

The latest trends emerging in the various mobility sectors – Public Transport, Private Transport, Goods Transportation, and Active Mobility and Micromobility – were among the other main topics highlighted by the group’s CEO at the conference, as well as the trends currently driving the entire automotive sector.

After the huge success of this sustainable mobility session, the Water, Energy and Environment Commission of the Chamber of Commerce is already planning the next event, which will take place in May to follow up with a second series of conferences. Moventia continues to play its part in promoting sustainable mobility and greater care for the environment on all our journeys.

This contract began in 2017 and Moventia has been managing the deployment stage until now, which includes bus manufacture, the design of embedded technology, employee recruitment and construction of the depots, with garages, control centres, offices and employee housing, among other things. The operation and maintenance stage has now been reached and will continue until 2030.

The Head of Operations at Moventis and General Manager of Moventis for Saudi Arabia, Jordi Castells, said “this partial launch of operations is a major milestone for progress by the project and was successfully carried out before the start of the pilgrimage season, meaning that pilgrims coming to the capital of Islam this year will benefit from a transport system designed and operated to Moventia standards. New public bike sharing service for CityBike Global

Barcelona, February 9th, 2022, CityBike Global and the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area have signed the contract for the new Mevo public bike-sharing service.  The service will have 4,200 bicycles, of which 3.100 ebikes, distributed in the 16 municipalities of the Metropolis before June 2023.

CityBike Global, a leading micro mobility company in Europe and Latin America, is the successful bidder for the public bike sharing service in the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area, after signing the contract to implement this new service in the Metropolis. Consequently, the company reinforces its presence at European level and consolidates its international leadership in the bike sharing service that it already offers in cities such as Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Clermont Ferrand, Lima and, starting in April this year, the city of Stockholm.

In the words of Michal Glaser, president of the Metropolitan Area of Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot, the signing of the contract with a new operator leaves behind the first stage of Mevo and the two years of hard struggle with the procedures of the Polish public procurement law. He added that the same type of bicycle will be introduced soon in Stockholm, and that these bikes are already being used in major European cities. He concluded that this would allow good cooperation and that the inhabitants of the Metropolis will be able to enjoy these bicycles in 2023.

For his part, Jordi Cabañas Faura, Managing Director of CityBike Global, expressed how interesting is this project as the metropolis of Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot is the fourth largest in Poland, friendly to sustainable transport, people, and entrepreneurs. He also mentioned the pride that as a global company represents the fact of being able to offer these services, not only because it is a new city, but especially because it is the first project in Poland in the context of development plans in the Polish market (CBG is currently participating in the tender for the bike sharing service in the Metropolis of Upper Silesia-Zalebie), committing to do everything possible to meet its requirements. He thanked all the local authorities and, specially, the entire Mevo team in the Metropolitan Area.

CityBike Global will have until June 2023 to complete the launch of the entire system in the 16 municipalities. Kolbudy and Kosakowo also joined the 14 local governments that originally participated in the project (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot, Żukowo, Reda, Pruszcz Gdański, Tczew, Sierakowice, Rumia, Somonino, Stężyca, Kartuzy, Puck and Władysławowo). Hence the increase in the number of bicycle collection and return stations, from 660 to 717.

SARSA SUPPORTING THE CONVENTO DE SANTA CLARA FOUNDATION

In partnership with CaixaBank and CaixaBank Payments & Consumer, the “La Caixa” Foundation donated a total of 30,000 euros for the Convento de Santa Clara Foundation to have a 9-seater mini-van to transport vulnerable people and those in a poor financial situation so they can benefit from the eye health programme, dental checks and other socio-educational and recreational activities.

The action forms part of the “Solidarity Formula” programme, a CaixaBank initiative, that channels funds from the “La Caixa” Foundation and adds them to donations from companies and individuals to help social entities have the material resources they need to continue supporting the people and groups most in need.

The partnership created in Manresa is part of the “Solidarity Mobility” category, which seeks to provide sustainable or adapted vehicles to social entities that urgently need them. CaixaBank and CaixaBank Payments & Consumer have channelled a donation of 30,000 euros from the “La Caixa” Foundation.

In turn, the Sarsa dealership of the Movento group also contributed towards the purchase of this vehicle. Furthermore, employees at the company helped fill the mini-van with food, which was delivered to the Convento de Santa Clara Foundation for its programme to distribute food to vulnerable families.

The handover ceremony, which took place on the Sarsa Volkswagen premises in Manresa, was attended by the Regional Director for Catalonia of CaixaBank, Jaume Masana; the Director of the Foundation, Sor Lucia Caram; the Commercial Director of CaixaBank Consumer & Payments, Manel Ble; the General Manager of Sarsa Volkswagen, José Salgado; and the Marketing Director of Moventia, Sandra Llunell.

This charity initiative once again demonstrates Moventia’s firm commitment to continue supporting the well-being of those people and groups who most need it. In this regard, Moventia will maintain its commitment to active participation in efforts to build a better society by encouraging and promoting programmes or actions either in-house or in partnership with other non-profit entities and foundations.

Various actions by Movento in December

On 2 December, AutoPlaVic received its first New Range Rover at the Gurb dealership and held an exclusive event to celebrate with our customers. The new Range Rover offers outstandingly sophisticated design, refinement and powerful capabilities.

That same week, Après Sky was held on the ski slopes of Masella, an event organised by Stern Motor.

Those attending the event enjoyed a spectacular day of snow that concluded with Carles Perez and El Gran German from Radio FlaixBac entertaining guests at the Masella Möod Lounge.

Furthermore, Sarsa Audi had the pleasure of organising a convoy for some of its customers with 10 models from the brand’s RS range. This event took place during the week of 13-17 December for seven days of adrenaline and speed.

The convoy’s journey comprised a loop around El Vallès, including road, dual carriageway and motorway sections so drivers could try out all the various driving modes. Two stops were included along the way so drivers could switch cars and thereby test several different models from the brand. One of these stops included a visit to the Cava Rovellats winery with a breakfast in the heart of nature. Finally, upon returning to the dealership, various gifts were handed out by Sarsa to all those who took part.

Turning our attention to Auser, an event was held on 14 December at the dealership in Terrassa to which several customers were invited in order to hear their opinions about Auser and the services we offer, as well as about the Renault and Dacia brands themselves.

Our analysis and conclusions from this event will help us improve the customer experience at our dealerships.

Finally, the classic San Silvestre de Badalona – Grand Prix Hyundai Motorprim took place on Friday 31 December. More than 1,250 runners took part in this last race of the year across the categories of 5 and 10 kilometres. Besides a great festive day of sport, both participants and spectators could also enjoy the new electric Hyundai KONA and the new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid on show at the Runner Fair. These vehicles also provided support during the race itself.
