Moventia, focused on equal opportunities

Moventia works hard to ensure equality for its workforce. The multinational transport services company also constantly strives to remedy any act of discrimination that may take place within its various divisions.

In order to follow that path towards workplace equality and zero tolerance against discrimination, Moventia has adopted a pro-active system to meet the needs for improvement in this area. Occupational welfare is a top priority for the company. Moventia considers it essential to maintain a satisfied and motivated team as a way to enhance the skills and aptitudes of all its employees. It also seeks to create a pleasant working environment in which its people feel safe and comfortable.

Furthermore, the company is committed to offering diversity and inclusion that is capable of eradicating discrimination. This commitment is enshrined in its personnel recruitment and internal promotion procedures. Moventia also undertakes to use inclusive language to support gender equality.

In order to maintain its position as a leader in equality and as an example to be followed by other operators in the public and private transport sector, the company has adapted processes that can be adjusted over time to remedy potential changes in the application of equality between male and female workers.

Given this commitment to and positive action on equality issues, 15 of the companies in the mobility group are currently certified regarding compliance with the requirements to receive the SGI 20.10 seal of quality under the Equal Opportunities Management System. This was confirmed by an official audit conducted by SGI Standards, a company from the SGP Group with expertise in the field of equal opportunities.

Despite obtaining these excellent results, Moventia will continue to work tirelessly on maintaining its social commitment to equality between men and women and against discrimination.

Moreover, the group also has an extensive track record in terms of social responsibility. Based on efforts forming part of the business in which the company is engaged, the multinational is committed to the most achievable targets proposed under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The United Nations Organisation has defined actions aimed at globally promoting an improved outlook for all towards a better world based on measures that seek to remedy existing poverty and improve protection for our planet, among other things.

The T-mobilitat is already in operation on the urban buses of Sant Sadurní, Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú

The T-mobilitat, the new system for traveling to the public transport network in the Barcelona area, already integrates the urban bus service lines in the Garraf and Alt Penedès regions. This is a new step in the incorporation of buses from the entire Integrated Fare System in the Barcelona area, which will continue in the coming weeks.

This week’s integration incorporates new urban bus lines from outside the metropolitan area operated by TCC, from the Moventis group, specifically in the municipalities of Sant Sadurní, Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú.

The expansion of the T-mobilitat outside the Barcelona metropolitan area has been progressive since last summer. Currently, the new system makes it possible to travel throughout the Barcelona ATM railway network, the entire bus network of the Barcelona metropolitan area and increasingly on more intercity and urban bus services of the crowns 2, 3, 4 , 5 and 6. You can check the territorial expansion of the system on the T-mobilitat website.

Ticket sales channels

The sale of ATM Barcelona tickets in all areas is carried out through the official marketing channels of the T-mobilitat:

Transport tickets purchased with the T-mobilitat system also enjoy the same discount as tickets from the magnetic system. In this sense, the tickets of all the zones of the T-usual (also FM/FN), T-casual and T-joven (also FM/FN) can be purchased with the corresponding rate reduction until December 31, 2022 It should be remembered that all integrated transport tickets will be valid until January 15, 2023. More information on the reduction of fares and their conditions on the Barcelona ATM website.

Care channels

The T-mobilitat makes different service channels available to citizens to resolve doubts and incidents:

On the other hand, it is recalled that, from the age of 6, all people traveling on public transport are required to wear a mask.

Moventia sponsors II Itinera Parlem Festival

Moventia is pleased to be a sponsor of the II Itinera Parlem Festival this year, a project created by the Catalan Association of Microtowns and Aktive. The project was launched in 2021 to raise the profile of Microtowns and their attractive features. This festival consisted of quality music in micro format.

Microtowns are municipalities with fewer than 500 inhabitants in Catalonia. There are a total of 337, of which more than 200 are members of the Catalan Association of Microtowns.

Itinera seeks two objectives: to raise the profile of the reality for Microtowns in Catalonia and to bring quality culture to iconic spaces in these towns. The festival includes musicians from the genres of Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Soul, among others, and also hosts important benchmark performers from the Catalan music scene, as well as collaborations with conservatoires and music schools in Catalonia, such as Liceu and Esmuc.

This open and inclusive project is taking place for the second time in 2022. It began on 1 May and will conclude on 30 October after more than 120 concerts.

Following its first edition in 2021, the Itinera Festival was given an Impulsa Award by the Catalunya Cultura Foundation. Its incredible work was recognised by this project for de-ruralisation through culture and, more specifically music, in turn demonstrating that culture fosters social transformation.

Moventia shares this vision and understands culture as a tool for conveying values that encourages critical thought and becomes an instrument for social cohesion and development in a more active society. That is why, Moventia promotes and supports actions and projects that seek to bring quality culture from this region to everyone.

Moventia holds the Seal of Recognition for Commitment to Culture from the Cataluña Cultura Foundation in recognition of its ties to and involvement in promoting Catalan culture.

Moventis, mobility partner of the TRAM Barcelona Open for second consecutive year

Silvia Martí, Vice-President of Corporate Affairs at Moventia, attended an event earlier today to present the V TRAM Barcelona Open, the International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament that Moventis supports as mobility partner. The event took place at the Barcelona Royal Tennis Club under the slogan of “El nostre únic límit el marca la pista” (“The court sets our only limit”).

The TRAM Barcelona Open has consolidated its position as a benchmark tournament on the international Uniqlo Wheelchair Tennis Tour and some outstanding players have already registered to take part this year. Confirmation from the numbers 1, 2 and 3 in the world (both men and women) positions this event as the best ITF2 category tournament by the International Tennis Federation and, once again, stands as the first tournament on the clay tour before Roland Garros. Having made these achievements, the tournament is ready to make the leap to the highest international category (ITF1) next year.

In line with the commitment from Moventia, Moventis continues to play its part and expresses solidarity with social and sports projects in order to maintain our support for the elimination of physical barriers that restrict mobility for persons with disabilities.

Moventia supports “Magic Line” and “I Run Against Cancer” initiatives

March was full of very special solidarity initiatives, such as the now traditional Magic Line walk and the I Run Against Cancer event in Sabadell, two projects that Moventia did not want to miss.

Magic Line is a solidarity event organised by the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital to help vulnerable people by promoting solidarity and commitment.

Moventia began supporting this solidarity event several years ago. This year, a team of 20 employees from the company walked the 10 kilometres that make up the Islam Trail in Barcelona.

The team completed the trail to support the initiative by Sant Joan de Déu and successfully raised a total of € 1,380 through donations, which will all go to help vulnerable people.

Furthermore, we also took part in the “I Run Against Cancer” event in Sabadell. Regularly sponsored by Stern Motor, this is a day of sports and games that is open to all and in no way competitive. Employees from the company also came together to walk and run at the event.

Following a two-year hiatus, this event returned to life stronger than ever and with the same goal in mind: to raise awareness, and to raise the profile and break taboos around cancer.

Moventia continues to play its part and express solidarity with social and sports projects in order to maintain our commitment to building a better world together.

Moventia joins the fight against childhood cancer

Today, 15 February, is International Childhood Cancer Day, a date that is particularly important for us at Moventia. This year, Moventis Autobuses Lleida decided to take action alongside the Association of Children with Cancer (@afanoc_lleida) and joined the Put Your Cap On initiative (@posatlagorra), an event aimed at children and teenagers with cancer that will take place at La Seu Vella in Lleida on 27 March.

New public bike sharing service for CityBike Global

Barcelona, February 9th, 2022, CityBike Global and the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area have signed the contract for the new Mevo public bike-sharing service.  The service will have 4,200 bicycles, of which 3.100 ebikes, distributed in the 16 municipalities of the Metropolis before June 2023.

CityBike Global, a leading micro mobility company in Europe and Latin America, is the successful bidder for the public bike sharing service in the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area, after signing the contract to implement this new service in the Metropolis. Consequently, the company reinforces its presence at European level and consolidates its international leadership in the bike sharing service that it already offers in cities such as Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Clermont Ferrand, Lima and, starting in April this year, the city of Stockholm.

In the words of Michal Glaser, president of the Metropolitan Area of Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot, the signing of the contract with a new operator leaves behind the first stage of Mevo and the two years of hard struggle with the procedures of the Polish public procurement law. He added that the same type of bicycle will be introduced soon in Stockholm, and that these bikes are already being used in major European cities. He concluded that this would allow good cooperation and that the inhabitants of the Metropolis will be able to enjoy these bicycles in 2023.

For his part, Jordi Cabañas Faura, Managing Director of CityBike Global, expressed how interesting is this project as the metropolis of Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot is the fourth largest in Poland, friendly to sustainable transport, people, and entrepreneurs. He also mentioned the pride that as a global company represents the fact of being able to offer these services, not only because it is a new city, but especially because it is the first project in Poland in the context of development plans in the Polish market (CBG is currently participating in the tender for the bike sharing service in the Metropolis of Upper Silesia-Zalebie), committing to do everything possible to meet its requirements. He thanked all the local authorities and, specially, the entire Mevo team in the Metropolitan Area.

CityBike Global will have until June 2023 to complete the launch of the entire system in the 16 municipalities. Kolbudy and Kosakowo also joined the 14 local governments that originally participated in the project (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot, Żukowo, Reda, Pruszcz Gdański, Tczew, Sierakowice, Rumia, Somonino, Stężyca, Kartuzy, Puck and Władysławowo). Hence the increase in the number of bicycle collection and return stations, from 660 to 717.

Various actions by Movento in December

On 2 December, AutoPlaVic received its first New Range Rover at the Gurb dealership and held an exclusive event to celebrate with our customers. The new Range Rover offers outstandingly sophisticated design, refinement and powerful capabilities.

That same week, Après Sky was held on the ski slopes of Masella, an event organised by Stern Motor.

Those attending the event enjoyed a spectacular day of snow that concluded with Carles Perez and El Gran German from Radio FlaixBac entertaining guests at the Masella Möod Lounge.

Furthermore, Sarsa Audi had the pleasure of organising a convoy for some of its customers with 10 models from the brand’s RS range. This event took place during the week of 13-17 December for seven days of adrenaline and speed.

The convoy’s journey comprised a loop around El Vallès, including road, dual carriageway and motorway sections so drivers could try out all the various driving modes. Two stops were included along the way so drivers could switch cars and thereby test several different models from the brand. One of these stops included a visit to the Cava Rovellats winery with a breakfast in the heart of nature. Finally, upon returning to the dealership, various gifts were handed out by Sarsa to all those who took part.

Turning our attention to Auser, an event was held on 14 December at the dealership in Terrassa to which several customers were invited in order to hear their opinions about Auser and the services we offer, as well as about the Renault and Dacia brands themselves.

Our analysis and conclusions from this event will help us improve the customer experience at our dealerships.

Finally, the classic San Silvestre de Badalona – Grand Prix Hyundai Motorprim took place on Friday 31 December. More than 1,250 runners took part in this last race of the year across the categories of 5 and 10 kilometres. Besides a great festive day of sport, both participants and spectators could also enjoy the new electric Hyundai KONA and the new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid on show at the Runner Fair. These vehicles also provided support during the race itself.
