In April, the company took part in several job fairs and education events in order to connect with the younger generations and boost employability in the collective transport and automotive sectors.

Moventia has boosted its activity in this regard, thereby reaffirming its commitment to training and talent recruitment via three strategic initiatives at Monlau Formación Profesional-Centro de Estudios Monlau, at the ‘Saló dels Oficis i les Professions del Baix Empordà’ and at the ‘Fira Cerdanyola Activa’.

In order to strengthen ties with education partners, the new Head of Human Resources at Moventia, Josefa Solanilla, paid an institutional visit to the premises of Monlau Formación Profesional-Centro de Estudios Monlau. In this regard, Moventia maintains close ties with the education centre as a benchmark partner company in the automotive sector.

Roser Clavell and Miriam Rodríguez, from the HR recruitment team of the company, also took part in this visit to students, gaining first-hand knowledge about the details of the training project run by Monlau. This partnership seeks to ensure that the technical training provided to students is in line with the real needs for innovation and the technical profiles required in the sector today.

Leadership and guidance

On 14 and 15 April, as part of the ‘Saló dels Oficis i les Professions del Baix Empordà’ at the Platja d’Aro Sports and Conference Centre, Moventia once again played a leading role through Josefa Solanilla, who took part in two round table discussions to debate job prospects and key skills in the sector.

Josefa Solanilla spoke to a large audience of young professionals and said that these events are an exceptional opportunity to make direct contact with emerging talent, listen to their concerns and offer them recommendations for the labour market.

“Supporting talent so they can join and grow professionally at our companies is a fundamental part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. We want to reveal the current market to young people and offer them real opportunities for growth”, said the company representatives at the fair.

Attracting professional talent directly

Furthermore, the Cerdanyola Activa fair, which took place on 16 April, was a benchmark space in the city for connecting companies, talent and employment services. It unquestionably boosted relations with companies in the region and those people actively seeking employment or in the process of changing careers. In this context, the collective mobility division Moventia had a corporate stand at the event led by Marc Viladrosa, Human Resources Recruitment Officer at Moventia, who was responsible for offering advice on professional development and boosting skills, as well as presenting the job opportunities at the group.

This kind of initiative is a reflection of the role played by Moventia as a benchmark company and leader in the collective transport and automotive industry with a commitment to lifelong learning, the accompaniment of young people as they venture into the professional world and close ties to the communities in the regions where it operates.
