On Monday, Josefa Solanilla, the Human Resources Director at Moventia, attended the conference entitled “SILVER TSUNAMI: The silent 50” promoted by ARTE, Women in Retail and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE) in Madrid on behalf of the company to strengthen our anti-ageism commitment. The event gathered executives and experts from various economic sectors to examine the impact of an ageing population on talent, employment and consumption.

The event included numerous round table discussions, including one entitled “From a tactical to a strategic outlook on careers: keys and challenges around tackling the new employability model”. Josefa Solanilla sat on the panel for this discussion alongside Daniela Goicoechea, founder of Brandcrops, and Eva Valbuena, founder of Gamechangers Talent. The discussion was moderated by María del Castillo, CEO of Faro Educación.

Moventia firmly believes in guaranteeing diversity within our human team by incorporating diverse experiences and perspectives to ensure the sustainability of our company and culture. We therefore believe that inter-generational collaboration is fundamental; where the over-50s bring their ever-important life experience and management capability while the younger generations bring their new approach and outlooks.

During the various talks and round table discussions, speakers highlighted this need to value the extensive experience of more senior profiles as a stand-out feature of day-to-day operations at any company. Furthermore, they encouraged attendees to never lose their desire for lifelong learning and continued progression as professionals.
