Alongside TRAM, Moventia has renewed its partnership with the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital to strengthen an agreement that guarantees access to public transport for the homeless and vulnerable people supported by Sant Joan de Déu Serveis Socials Barcelona year after year.

The event on 16 January was attended by representatives from all the organisations involved with a view to highlighting the progress made by the project and consolidating an important partnership that has been transforming lives for nine years.

The event was attended by: Sílvia Martí, Corporate Vice-President of Moventia; Humberto López Vilalta, Managing Director of TRAM; Salvador Maneu, Head of Sant Joan de Déu Serveis Socials – Barcelona; Juanjo Ortega, Head of Obra Social Sant Joan de Déu – UTI; Tòfol Marquès, Head of the Joves Programme at SJD Serveis Socials – Barcelona; and Maimuna Mballow, Social Educator at SJD Serveis Socials – Barcelona.

Under the partnership agreement, Moventia and TRAM make an annual contribution of €60,000 to guarantee access to public transport and accessible mobility for the homeless and vulnerable people supported by Sant Joan de Déu Serveis Socials. This investment in the ‘Access to Mobility for the Homeless’ project enables beneficiaries to freely travel, access basic services, make the most of job and training opportunities, and take part in social and community life.

During the course of the event, the representatives from the companies involved and the professionals working on projects by the hospital in Barcelona were shown around La Bastida, a recently finished residential project targeting young people that strengthens the preventive approach and accompaniment towards more stable inclusion processes.

Through this agreement, Moventia reaffirms its commitment to partnering with social entities and to a corporate responsibility model based on solid partnerships with a positive impact on society.
