Via the division specialising in collective mobility, Moventis, Moventis recently took part in two emergency drills involving collective passenger transport services in Barcelona and Mallorca. The two exercises tested action procedures for exceptional situations and strengthened coordination between transport operators, emergency teams, security forces and specialist agencies.
This action forms part of the commitment from Moventia to safety, lifelong training and improved responsiveness to possible incidents. In this type of scenario, coordination between all the agents involved becomes key to guaranteeing swift, orderly and safe action.
Evacuation drill in Barcelona
In Terrassa, Moventis Izaro took part in a drill alongside the Medical Studies Institute (IEM) and the Civil Protection Service of Terrassa under the partnership agreement between the two entities. The exercise recreated a forest fire in the mountain countryside and the evacuation of a group of people from a farmhouse.
During the operation, an Izaro coach was used to transfer those affected and a vehicle accident was subsequently simulated to activate the assistance and response protocols. Carolina Fernández, a driver for Autocares Izaro; Susanna Vidal, from the Human Resources Training Department of Moventia; and Francisco Carrasco, from the Occupational Risk Prevention Department also took part.
Emergency exercise in Mallorca
In Mallorca, Moventis took part in a drill on 8 May in the La Verónica de Sant Marçal area of Marratxí via its B2B coach service on the island. The company provided a vehicle for an exercise organised by IEDIB as part of the Healthcare Emergencies training course.
The drill simulated a highly complex situation stemming from a car chase ending in a serious collision and activation of emergency protocols. The action enabled healthcare provision, triage, evacuation and self-protection procedures to be tested and involved SAMU 061 Illes Balears, Bombers del Consell de Mallorca, Protección Civil de Marratxí, Policía Local, Guardia Civil and the SAR helicopter.
By taking part in these drills, Moventis reaffirms its commitment to safe, prepared and responsible mobility, as well as to collaboration with specialist agencies for continued progress on prevention, training and ongoing improvement.
