A night of support for life: the fourth edition of the ‘Movento Stern Nit Solidària’ boosts its support for the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center in Sabadell
18 December 2025
The Movento Stern Nit Solidària was held for the fourth time last night in Sabadell and raised a total of €86,380. Another year and another new record. All the money raised will be donated in full to the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital.

The Movento Stern Nit Solidària was held for the fourth time last night in Sabadell and raised a total of €86,380. Another year and another new record. All the money raised will be donated in full to the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. Organised by Movento Stern (the official Mercedes-Benz dealership of the Movento group) in partnership with Moventia, the charity gala gathered close on 250 guests and once again positioned the fight against childhood cancer at the centre of an event supported by society, business and the media.

The 2025 edition maintained a format that has consolidated the Nit Solidària as an unmissable event on the social calendar: a grand annual gathering on the Movento Stern premises in Sabadell to raise money and visibility for a good cause as part of a wider programme of activities under the slogan of ‘Ajudem a fer camí’ (Let’s support the journey). The purpose is two-fold: to raise money for the hospital and to maintain public discourse around paediatric oncology, thereby strengthening the support network for patients and their families.

The artist Antonio Orozco, a sponsor of the initiative, was involved in and promoted the gala. This year, he wanted to go a step further and engage in his own charity work to broaden the scope of Nit Solidària. A final total of €86,380 was raised from two complementary sources: on the one hand, €48,380 were raised during the Nit Solidària itself thanks to donations from guests and all the charity projects promoted by Movento Stern and Moventia; and on the other hand, €38,000 were raised by the charity work conducted by Antonio Orozco and his team alongside the event. Specifically, the first concert on his ‘La Gira de mi Vida’ tour was organised to raise money for this cause. He also performed a charity concert at the Luz de Gas event space on 4 December for the first time after filling the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on two consecutive days, as well as other charity activities at the more than 30 concerts the artist performed. “This is the most important project of my life, I knew that from the first year I got involved”, said Antonio Orozco during the introduction ceremony at Nit Solidària. He went on to add that “I’m always thinking about what else I can do; I feel that everything we do is just a drop in the ocean”, in reference to the need to maintain the momentum and open up new ways to offer support. Along the same lines, the artist has already announced that he will perform not one but two concerts at Luz de Gas in 2026 to continue supporting Sant Joan de Déu. The dates for these concerts will be revealed soon.

On behalf of Moventia, the Nit Solidària was once again attended by numerous members of the Martí family (founder and owner of the group), with Josep Maria Martí, Chairman, and Miquel Martí Pierre, CEO of Movento, as the main hosts of the event. They were accompanied by Miquel Martí, Honorary Chairman of Moventia; Sílvia Martí, Corporate Vice-President of the group, and Maria Rosa Martí, as well as Santi Colomer Martí, Managing Director of Movento UV and Movento Drive, underlining the institutional backing from the group for this charity initiative.

Also at the event were Quim Badia, Manager of Movento Stern, and Glòria Garcia, Head of Fundraising at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona. The gala was also attended by Samuel Cortés, Head of Network Development for Mercedes-Benz Spain, in a demonstration of additional support from the brand for an event that continues to consolidate its position on the charity calendar year after year.

Josep Maria Martí, Chairman of Moventia:

“Everyone has a role to play on such a human project: the hospital and its professionals, who are on the front line; the families, who are the reason for everything; the companies and partners, who provide resources and continuity; and the artists, media and influencers, who help bring the message to a wider audience. The Nit Solidària only works because all these people come together. The fact that we have set a new fundraising record this year is, above all, confirmation that real impacts can be made from the result when everyone does their part”.

Miquel Martí Pierre, CEO of Movento:

“Four years on, this Nit Solidària remains possible thanks to the tireless efforts of the teams at Stern Motor and Movento, and to the generosity of all the partners who accompany us year after year. Seeing how so many people and companies are taking action again is a source of enormous satisfaction and a clear demonstration that a real impact can be had when there is commitment and continuity. All our work is aimed at providing ongoing support for the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona on such an essential endeavour”.

Quim Badia, Manager of Movento Stern:

“A lot of effort and teamwork goes into this evening; a team, partners and brands that fully understand that charity work must also be managed with thoroughness. It is important for us that the Nit Solidària be a stable and recognisable event and one that garners more support and awareness every year”.

Glòria Garcia, Head of Fundraising at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona:

“For the hospital, initiatives like this one do not just represent economic support; they fuel a direct boost for research, innovation in care and accompaniment for the families. Every euro counts but so too does the visibility; that there is discourse around childhood cancer, that the specific characteristics of paediatric oncology are understood and that society feels part of the solution”.

In this regard, the hospital highlighted the Integrative Paediatric Oncology Unit this year, a pioneering initiative that combines safe non-pharmacological therapies such as acupuncture, nutrition, aromatherapy, oncological massage, hospital dogs and even music to improve patient wellbeing, ease the symptoms and side effects of treatments, and enhance quality of life for children and their families.

Famous celebrities support the Nit Solidària again

The Nit Solidària once again gathered a broad cross-section of society last night, thereby underpinning the social and charity nature of the event and its ability to mobilise people in support of the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona. The evening was led by Llucià Ferrer and Laia Ferrer, who brought both rhythm and informality to an evening aimed at boosting support and visibility.

Some of the most important support this year came through the attendance by a significant number of FC Barcelona personnel, led by the Club Chairman, Joan Laporta, who wanted to be there in person. He was accompanied by people with ties to the sports and institutional sides of the club, such as Deco and Bojan Krkić, as well as Enric Masip, making up a strong entourage.

In terms of artists, the evening was supported by highly recognisable names who have become regulars at the event, such as Miki Núñez, Joan Dausà, Beth Rodergas and Sara Roy. The actor and presenter, Santi Millán, was also there, as were the mountain and trail running athletes, Núria Picas and Claudia Tremps, and the professional padel tennis player and co-founder of Aurial Pádel, Marta Marrero.

Gastronomy once again played a major role for the experience through a menu designed for the occasion by chef Nandu Jubany. Furthermore, master chocolatier Lluc Crusellas wanted to bake a cake for this very special occasion this year. The event was also attended by media and communication professionals who helped to enhance the public impact from the event, such as Cristina Cubero, Deputy Editor of Mundo Deportivo, and Jota Jordi (El Chiringuito), as well as voices from the world of radio, such as Carles Pérez and Germán Ramírez (Flaixbac). Numerous content creators were also there, such as the influencer Maria Vallespí, alongside other regular names at the event, such as Eva Giménez and Eli Carnicé.

A year of charity work led by Movento Stern

Besides the gala, this year’s event has revolved around a charity schedule that includes four major dates, designed to offer various entry points for collaboration and to maintain momentum during the months of November and December.

That schedule began on 15 November with a charity padel tournament at Club Aurial Pádel Cornellà, which enjoyed special support from the Enric Masip Foundation. The schedule continued on 4 December with an exclusive concert by Antonio Orozco at the Luz de Gas event space in Barcelona, intended as an additional fund- and profile-raising event under the auspices of the same charity initiative.

The third event was the gala itself that took place last night and the schedule will continue on 20 December, from 17:00 to 19:00, with the ‘La tarda de Llum’ musical show in the auditorium at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. Hosted by Llucià Ferrer, the event will gather various artists from the world of music and, besides Antonio Orozco, will include Beth Rodergas, Aina Da Silva, Miki Núñez, Lildami, Lax’n’Busto and Sexenni, among others.

With this fourth edition, Movento Stern and Antonio Orozco have thus strengthened a partnership based on commitment and unity: a joint effort that calls for action and connects companies, culture and sport around a single purpose. Year after year, the Nit Solidària grows in terms of support and ambition. In 2025, it has done so more strongly than ever, opening doors to future projects aimed at promoting research, innovation in care and the accompaniment of patients and families at Sant Joan de Déu.
